TEA AND TODDLERS |

Tea and Toddlers is a very lively Parent and
Toddler Group. Formed in 1989 as a tentative venture to offer a service on
behalf of Central to the young families of the community and we rapidly grew into a very busy group. We
offer a friendly, informal environment for ‘Parents’, i.e. Mums, Dads,
Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, Nannies and Child-minders and their ‘Toddler’
(from birth to school age) to enjoy. Between 40 and 50 families join us each Friday
morning during term-time. A charge of 6Op a session is made per adult and
child, which includes the cost of a drink and biscuit each. We use the ‘ride-ons’,
the climbing frame arid activity tables in the main hall, while the Weston
Room is a ‘quieter’ area where no ‘ride-ons’ are
allowed, to keep it safer for our youngest members. We have a different craft
activity each week, which is enjoyed by parents and children alike. The morning is rounded off with a sing-song,
including birthday and news-time. New families are always welcome. ANITA LATTER |
