MELLOW

MELLOW is Central’s “40 – 60-ish” group.

We enjoy a variety of activities. So far our members have suggested - walks – amble/rambles, discussions, talks, sharing meals, theatre visits and Bible studies. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

We are an informal, friendly group and meet every 2 or 3 weeks. The meetings are announced in the church notices and by word of mouth.

If you are interested and would like to join us you would be welcomed. Please contact Celia Saunders or our minister, Andrew Maguire, for further details.

The ethos of the group is: -

·            Sharing

·            Growing in faith

·            Learning how to live a life with Christian ethics

·            Friendship

·            Mutual support

·            Enjoying life as a mature group

and is personified by the name: - MELLOW: -

MEET, ENJOY, LIVE, LEARN, OWN, WORSHIP

·    MEET – self explanatory

·    ENJOY - self explanatory

·    LIVE - self explanatory

·    LEARN – self explanatory

·    OWN – take responsibility for oneself and our actions

·    WORSHIP - self explanatory

And the word also conveys the impression that we are not ‘spring chickens’ but mature adults!
