THE LUNCHEON CLUB

In February 1984 members of the Neighbourhood Committee decided to provide luncheon for the elderly at Central on Thursday at 12.30pm. This service has continued since that date, except for short breaks at Easter, Christmas and two months in the summer.

The two-course lunch costs £1.50 and there are places for up to 30 members.

The Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation’s minibus is available, at no extra cost, for those requiring transport, although the number of places are limited.

These lunches provide not only a nourishing meal prepared by excellent cooks, but also an opportunity to chat and make friends.
